The International Exposure Trip to Thailand 2024 was a wonderful trip that allowed students to learn, grow, and connect in a deeper way. More than just an academic trip, it was a one-of-a-kind combination of hands-on learning, entrepreneurial challenges, leadership development, and cultural immersion.
Creative Design-Learning
Under the guidance of the leaders Daryl Lim and Rosemary Phan, who are actually the founders of Design Thinkers Academy, the journey started at a Human-Centered Design workshop in Bangkok. This session was designed to equip the students with the skills necessary to fully understand people's needs and use that knowledge to develop solutions. In addition all of the students gained practical experience in user research, brainstorming sessions, and prototyping. Students gained the ability to approach issues from several angles and produce concepts that could actually have an impact.
Entrepreneurial Challenge
Afterwards, the students visited Thammasat University, which was established in 1933, known as one of the best academic institutions in Thailand for its high quality of academics and international courses. At this university, students were to present their entrepreneurial ideas. As a part of Biz Innovate Project students worked on finding answers to real problems. Students had to prepare their ideas after collecting and analyzing information and then present it before a panel of experts. It was very productive because it gave the students an opportunity to discuss with experts and a chance to improve their ability to express and articulate ideas coherently.
Leadership Experience
Pattaya was the next location for the Quantum Leap Leaders Program. A two-day leadership workshop that focuses on taking the initiative, making sound decisions, and successfully leading teams. Not simply a leadership theory, but a real approach to understanding team dynamics and making decisions. Students left feeling confident in their ability to handle any situation.
Cultural Exchange
While the trip focused on academics and skill development, it also allowed kids to experience a foreign culture. In order to learn about Thailand's rich history and culture, students traveled to well-known locations. Knowledge of Thai art, architecture, and cultural history was gained via these interactions. These cross-cultural interactions helped them appreciate Thailand's diversity and gain a more global viewpoint. This mix of academic study and cultural immersion fostered the participants' personal growth, collaboration, and long-lasting connections.
An Adventure to Remember
The Journey was more than just a learning experience; it was a moment that combined leadership, knowledge, and cultural discovery. After returning, students have gained new abilities, a broader outlook, and life-changing experiences. The knowledge and confidence they gained from this experience will help them thrive in a world that is becoming more linked by the day.
